Question Anyone made a kimono quilt?

I've started cutting pieces for a kimono quilt from a Heidi Pridemore pattern. I'm changing it, as per usual. It should be interesting...

I'm just curious if anyone has made a kimono quilt before and how they found it. Was it difficult? Where did you find fabrics for it?

It sounds interesting. Is there an on-line store that carries that pattern to see what it will look like?

I don't know. I've been looking and can't find it on-line. It was given to me by a friend who claimed it was a free pattern from Walmart, but I didn't know they gave out free quilt patterns?! Anyway, it's a straight rectangle/square design with a simple triangle pieced collar. I'm going to try posting pictures here again...sigh...

That looks like it will be a pretty one when finished. Yes, WM did have freebie patterns at one time. Unfortunately they are phasing out the fabric section. I forget when all the stores will be out. *pout, pout* As it is, I have to drive 1/2 hour each way just to get some thread. I understand they will still have some threads though. The closest Jo-Ann's is over an hour away. The price you pay for a tranquil setting.
