Look What I'm Making!
Hi all! So, I started the lap quilt for my mother's birthday last night. Once I started, I couldn't stop. Granted, it's not fabulous and is a little uneven, but when I put the backing on and wrap it over the edges, you won't be able to see the uneveness in the edging, and I doubt my mom will notice anyway.
I don't have a sewing machine, so it was done by hand, but I am proud of myself for a first attempt. Today it's off to the store to buy fabric for the back and to buy some of the filler, as well.
I put dh's slipper by the quilt to give you a size judger.

Amy, that's awesome. I did notice something though - you're off to get some more fabric. Be careful or you're going to get the bug.
What a wonderful gift to give to someone.

I was just using your old sewing machine yesterday & was thinking of you! (I bought it off of her last year & love it!)

Not to worry, CJ. I have a ton of fabric here, but it's all smaller pieces...I wanted a solid backing. That is the ONLY reason I bought more fabric. Trust me.
