Smile Here's what I've been up to

In the fall of 2005 I started a project Quilts for the North. I send baby quilts, along with single quilts to northern reserves in our province. Over the past several days I've been quilting baby quilts and laptop quilts.

All the quilts for the north are simple patterns. That way I can get more done, use up scraps and send out more. With the laptop quilts, I normally use a panel and then use scrap pieces to make the 3 1/2 inch squares. The laptop picture here is for a friend who lost their home in a fire.

    Here are a couple pictures.

I've challenged myself to not make anything new until I finished quilting all the tops I have. I have to get them done, there are just too many UFO's.

I just finished quilting the single quilt about 5 mins. ago. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

You do such wonderful work..........maybe I'll start doing something for the hospitals around here.......... it sure would use up a lot of scrapes.

How cool! Good idea and beautiful work. A friend and I have been thinking about doing something similar...only with star blankets. You've given me encouragement.

I've been working like crazy on these. I got another 3 done and I finally put a backing on a crazy quilt I made a few years back.

My UFO's are slowly going down.

The problem is I got a quilting book from the library and I'm itching to make one quilt of each pattern.

LOL! Ooooohhhh...libraries are deadly places. Worse yet is when they have their book sales and the quilting books are $1 each.... sigh....
