    Default Finished Quilt

Thought I would post photos of the quilt I made for my neighbors, who are adopting this month. Fabric is Moda Tranquility line and I used a jelly roll. The pattern is from Fons and Porter Baby Quilts magazine. I admit I really splurged on this....even used the new organic bamboo batting. (my neighbor is VERY green)

Looks great - and not the typical baby quilt - that will be an heirloom!

It's *not* a typical baby quilt. But, they are not all into the blue/pink baby thing. The nursery was done by a designer, all in browns and greens with a mural on one wall. But, I thought the "bug" backing made it a little more playful Mostly, I tried to customize it to their tastes. And it was a challenge for me and way out of my comfort zone! The entire thing is parallelograms!
Thank you for your kind comments.
