Ali Lee hope you post pics of the quilt. Would love to see it - what a neat idea.
VL.....think I saw these in the other thread.......(or am I seeing double?) Some great quilts! Your patience to hand quilt is admirable.....keep up the good work.

Wow Vickilynn, quilting by hand. If I did that, I would never get any quilts done. There is a long-arm quilter in my area who does a great job at very reasonable prices. She picks up every friday and drops off the next friday, it works out great for me. I've dropped off my last 2 items to be quilted to her, I should have something this coming friday and then the next. I will definitely post pictures!

quilting by hand is for me even though I don't produce as many quilts, quilt one or two year, piece one, and make smaller things to machine quilt. More pictures of my work.

They are very nice VickiLynn. Thanks for showing us pics! the placemat is really interesting. I like the kind of freeform sewing on of the strips. Very nice.
I finished my experimental quilt, but haven't taken a photo of it yet. Will post when I get around to one...probably tomorrow sometime. DH and I are decorating for Christmas tonight.2012 Challenges

Thanks for the pics VL.........cute items! The wall hanging is adorable!! but like ter. said........if I hand quilted - or had to hand sew ANYTHING it would never get done.
I even sew the binding on by machine. If it can't be done on the machine I AIN'T doing it!!
