I think I can finish the hand quilting goal for the year....I've finished all the hard stuff (outline quilting around the machine applique) now it's straight lines and then the binding! I'm highly motivated to finish because the next quilt for hand quilting is the one made by my great aunt's...oh to get my needle in where their needles worked so hard to help provide for their family. It's my cousin's quilt and it will be given to her daughter when she gets married. But I get to put my love into it!

My gal prefers to provide the batting, and 'that part' is reasonable, as she knows what hers will do on the machine, but she will work with yours...and actually it isn't that much cheaper.
I provide my own batting. She does have some there if you don't bring your own, but I usually get it on sale so I just use mine. She does not square them up either. I was working on that last night!

Well.......hit a bump in the road......when I started to do the attic window quilts I decided I didn't have enough floral squares......only had 25 and that wouldn't be a very big quilt.

So........both on hold for now until I get time to either 1. dig through my stash and see what I have (and there won't be very many as I think I have used them all) 2. buy some more large floral 3. decide to do some doubles - which I didn't want to do!!! May have to add some butterflies and sunflowers!

guess the pics will come out right........never know.

Thanks MM and vicki. The pictures are little squares that you buy that way and then I added the material/sashimgs around each picture. The stars were an afterthought but I liked how it turned out.

Beautiful table topper DC! I've been busy rug hooking today. And dyeing yarn for rug hooking. And finishing off a skein of freshly spun/plied yarn. No quilting...yet...

I have been having a great time hand quilting the Bob the Builder panel for the baby shower. Work on it an hour or two a day throughout the day - very satisfying!!
