mahalo FF!!
Forgot to mention that one of the few things that I treasured enough to pack today was my Hawaiian quilt!! Definitely need to get working on the applique!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Just don't forget the redwork..........I had my patterns out the other day........drooling over them.......then put them back!

It isn't Xmas fabric.....but I have some red and white when you get ready for it.........WE CAN TRADE......
Have been collecting red and white and black and white fabric for my "Bordello Bargello" (my name for it) that I want to do.

Love the idea of trading!!
"Bordello Bargello" - great name!!
I might make a table runner from one of your books - and perhaps make up one of the turkeys too. So much to do....and then there's the time I love spending here too!! Decisions and choices.....Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Oh MM, I am so sorry! I forgot about the pattern you wanted copied. I will get it done and sent out to you as soon as I get back from Canada. Sorry my friend.
I am going to continue to work on the jean quilt although there are quite a few I want to try in the mag you sent me FF! Ideas swirl through my head all day AND night!

Debbie - I never doubted that you would get to it when you could - is certainly not a priority!! When do you head back to Canada?

Oh yeah........you are sooooooooo hooked!!!
And your next complaint will be "there is just not enough time!!".........then we know you are GONE!
I have one HECK of a quilting library ---go through the mags (and BOOKS)---cut up a post-it into tiny strips.....mark the page with a tiny post-it strip of the ones I like, and would like to make----put the mag. in the HM mag. holder -----do it again to the next one.....
I should take a pic of some of my mags.........nothing but post-its!!! And WHY do I cut the post-its into strips? ---you ask??......because I couldn't AFFORD to put a whole post-it on each page!!!

Note to self: FF really needs a stash of post it notes!!
Well, now I have my quilt out to applique and I found all the threads, needles and beeswax too!! Now I need a basket to put it all in so I can leave it in the living room without it being an eyesore!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

See I'm not dead, just busy....my african violet collection takes at least 2 hrs a week. So I'm trying to budget my times and get er done.....
I've subscribed to this thread to keep myself forcused. My knitting projects are always on the go with me so I keep those done, slowly but surely. But my quilting is taking a back seat.
So this is my thread to watch daily. keep inspired by you!
Love the idea of a swap. Trying to build up my statsh for the days to come when I'm retired and don't have the extra $$.
I'm intrested in a Christmas swap - has anyone done a 5 inch swap? Send 5 or ? 5 inch squares. I've never run a swap so I don't get the details.....Unles you just email and say I'll swap and send them out as you go?
May need a new thread for Swapping?
FF brain woman.....how does this work?

Nice to hear your voice Vickilynn!!
I'm up for swapping. FF c'mon and help us out here.
Do we need to choose fabric type? I have mostly poly/cotton, which probably wouldn't work for a purist.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Don't give me too much credit!!!
I DON'T KNOW!!!
I've only done the 'in person' swaps.........none by mail. And that is just that if you like it ----you swap!
When I mentioned a fat quarter swap a few month ago I was sort of thinking about a 'round robin' type thing.......to help keep postage costs down. Thinking it might work like this.............:
Have a sign up for who wanted to do it----one person would start it out.....send a fat quarter---that person either keeps that one and then sends one of their own out ---or sends that one on down the road. That way the fat quarter would come pretty close to fitting in a business size envelope. This type of thing could go on and on ---or end with the last person on the list.
I don't use poly-cotton MM---sorry...........well, not in my quilts anyway. Not a purist-- but it won't shrink at the same rate as the cotton and that is what I would have to mix it with!
Maybe Peanut or someone else has done them.......or read about them..............I will see what I can find on-line.

Mahalo FF = knew we could count on you!! Totally understand about the poly/cotton - cotton thing - that's why I mentioned it!!
I'm looking forward to seeing what info you come up with about swaps.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
