    Default Fat quarter pictures

Here's the ones I bought today. The bottom row has the fq's for the tutorial. I put them on the back of my cutting mat to have a solid background for the picture.

Those colors will be beautiful together. But why are they called fat quarters?

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure what colors to get since I don't know what we are making. I just picked colors I liked and went with corodinating ones. (I think)

Marianne, good question, they are called fat quarters because they are 1/4 yard, but they are 18 x 22 in instead of traditional 9x 44 inches.
