Default Quilting Club for the rest of 2010!!

Just checked and our last post for the Quilting Club was in July!! and then along comes summer.... and no more Quilting Club!! Figured it was time to rev us up again for the rest of 2010!!

As of tonight I am committed to finish the appliqueing my Hawaiian Quilt by the end of 2010!!....a very bitgg commitment since I started appliqueing when pregnant with my daughter who turned 24 this summer!!

Pictures are in My Albums if you want to check the quilt out.

I want to know and see what quilting you are working on or plan to quilt!!

Good luck with your big project MM!!

Not sure what I will be doing......have lots of projects 'in the works' but having a little trouble getting back into the 'craft mode' when we didn't have much summer.

It will probably take me the first hour to clean off my cutting table......that is when I decide. Still haven't finished cutting the Hip 2b square flannel and would love to see that finished.

MomK - are you using JohnDeere fabric or do you have a quilt pattern that you are following!!

Ff - I was thinking of you especially when I posted this!!

I spent a very satisfying hour working on my quilt last night!!

I DID IT!! I finished the applique work on my Hawaiian quilt!! I am so happy!! Now I need to find fabric for the backing, get the batting - find a place with enough space to lay it all out, pin and baste it - and I'll be good to go!!

Can't wait to see it MM.

I got my table cleared off........ready for some cutting.

Would like to make another of the fat quarter quilts, like in my pics..........this would be for a friend, so that means roses and pink........ewww. Was tempted today at JA's but didn't do anything about it............the fat 1/4's were on sale.

I need to get working on a quilt that I started for myself about 4 years ago. It is the Yellow Brick Road pattern and I did all of the sewing and cutting, now I need to assemble the squares. I am going to try to sew 15 minutes a night. My sewing machine is clear of junk. I could probably get 3-5 squares sewn in 15 minutes. Ok. I am going to work on that. I can't wait to see pics MM!

Just sewing a little a day - whether by hand or machine really does make a big difference!! I posted the quilt last year - need to see where it is in my albums - it will look exactly the same as it did in the pictures because the basting threads really do not show. I was dreaming last night about the backing and the edging - want to keep it as simple as possible - cause that's my style!!

I just wanted to tip my hat to all of you. I've quilted, proven to myself I can, and now -- never, ever have to do it again. I'm such a wimp. I bought two quilts this weekend. So much easier!

Congrats on all the projects. I know they will all be beautiful.

FF - condolences on the roses and pink. I have loathed pink for most of my existence, though I've mellowed on the subject, and one of the ones I got is, somewhat to my astonishment, mostly pink. But I would definitely draw the line at roses, LOL!

Okay.......I cleaned off my cutting table...........AGAIN!

(didn't I post this same thing about two months ago???)

I found some fabric that was cut and SUPPOSED to be sent to DC but the box got full.......

We are supposed to get snow in the next couple days so that should kick in the 'creative sewing juices'...........(read hibernation factor)

I need to make some more baby quilts - so I'll be getting the fabric together soon. Still need to layer my Hawaiian quilt so I can start quilting that one - will take quite awhile since I handquilt.
