    It is a quilting hoop. At times they drive me crazy. I love hand quilting but don't have a quilting frame so need to use a hoop. What I don't like, it doing it over and over again, each time I finish quilting the quilt thats in the hoop, undoing it and doing it up again. A nuisance but until I get a quilting frame, it will have to do.

    CJ, Is a frame (pvc kind) hard to make? They look simple. Obviously I don't know how well they work, but I was thinking along those lines for myself, and when you said you didn't have one it got me to wondering about them.

    Frugalmel - I'm sure they'd be pretty easy to make. I've heard some negative comments in regards to them though but I haven't used one so I can't confirm whether they are easy to use.

    The hoop is easy to use, its just the fact of having to take it apart all the time that is annoying.
