    Question When quilting, do you make it has a story?

    I recently did a quilt and the pattern I used is the Dresden Plate. Each block though has different sizes although its still the Dresden plate.

    I've put a story behind the quilt and plan on giving it to a friend. Each block represents how different we all are. The centre represents (they are flowers rather than just a circle) represent the beauty of life and friends. The different sizes represent individuality. There are a few other things that are personal.

    Have you ever done this?

    No, so far I have only made 1 quilt and 1 quilt top.

    I like this idea. CJ! I will have to think on this and develop a couple ideas for friends/family. I know I want to do a quilt with blocks for every holiday. I have ideas for them already now I just need to learn the skills.
