quilt tieing
I want to tie a quilt, any tips, hints to make it easier? Do I have to use a special knot or will just a regular one work
TIA

Hope this helps:
Use soft, strong thread such as double knitting wool and a large needle. You might want to use a contrasting color of wool to show up or use the same color as your quilt to not take away from the quilt. Its your choice.
Ties should be placed at regular intervals, about 4 - 6 inches apart or a chosen point in case the quilt is a patchwork.
*Insert the needle from the top through all layers, leaving a tail of about 4 inches. Bring the needle back up a short distance from where it entered, then take another stitch through the same holes. Cut off the thread, leaving another 4 inches and tie the tails together with a double knot. Trim the threads, leaving about 1 inch.
