I spent a lot of time looking at those myself! I would love to make a bargello quilt. SO many quilt ideas! I had a great time at my sewing day on Monday, I bound a quilt that I had picked up from the quilters. Don't know what I am going to do with it, but it's done! I've attached a picture here. I also got a lot of cutting and sewing done on my mom's quilt. I shouldn't have a problem getting that done. I love sewing, it's so relaxing! I wish I could do more of it! Happy quilting!

Cute quilt tervs.............the colors would make a great baby quilt.
Is this one you made..........or the one you bought?
I love the bargello quilts........have made two.......and they aren't that hard AT ALL......as long as you stay 'organized' while making it. The toughest part is picking the fabric........that can MAKE OR BREAK a bargello, faster than even some other quilt patterns.
Have decided that I won't start any more quilts until I get a couple pieces of clothing finished.........since they are already cut out...........now if I can just stick to my plan!!

Thanks! No, I made it. I think I may have worded something incorrectly earlier. I drop my quilts off at the quilt shop and the long arm quilter picks them up and drops them off there. So when it was done, I picked up the quilt that I made and was long arm quilted up from the quilt shop. The local shop that I go to doesn't sell their quilts, they have them all over! They are so pretty!
My mom's quilt is the next one I am working on. Then I will work on my black and white one. I have some table runners I want to do for gifts as well. Always so much to do!

Oh tervs you sound busy prepping for gifts. Good work, that's pretty! Isn't it funny that some people actually find themselves bored?? I never get bored; I'm either making something or planning on making something seemingly at all times.

Sumacaroni - I know! I am never, ever bored! There is always so much to do! If it isn't sewing, it's stuff around the house.

Oh Tervs that quilt is very pretty! Love the soft colors.
I too am NEVER bored! Like sumacaroni, I am always planning the next project!
I cut all the squares for a raggedy lap quilt yesterday...not sewing much today...too much company and I have to sew at the kitchen table so instead I organized/ironed and folded fabric all day....close to being done. Love that I can see exactly what I have now and can grab whatever I need easily.

Or, I read it wrong, tervs..........I thought you bought one 'somewhere'........and I was soooo envious that the quilt shops were even selling their quilts.........ours never do.
I have been on the Amish site that sells quilts...........had so much SLOBBER from drooling that I had to get out of there.......
Has anyone else been here?
Welcome!
When you get to the site............click on upper left where it says "tours".............OMG!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!
AND HANDMADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh.....how I agree!!! And did you take the time to click on the close up to check out the hand-stitching??? SO PERFECT!!!
Can one who quilts "JUSTIFY" buying a quilt?????
Would LOVE to have one of the applique ones........as I will never do one....not to that extent, anyway!!
I have been re-taking my inventory on my quilt books......found out I didn't have some on my list........so that was good to catch them.
Have two more small shelves to go........but it is the worst part for checking them off the list.
Need to get this updated as I carry a list in my purse when I head to quilt shows.............so I don't buy DOUBLES!!! And two of the quilt shows, that I will be going to, have the 'quilters garage sale' or 'bargain bin' type thing where you can often get books for a buck!!
I HAVE bought doubles in magazines before........so I learned!

Wow........I don't think I have it.........have the Jewel Box by Eleanor Burns.
The two small shelves that I have left to do are the ones that might have it on it..........but I just checked my list..........and it isn't
listed.......also did a quick check at the shelves.......nope.

Whoa! That site link is a dangerous time-sink LOL. Very inspirational pictures, though. Makes me want to go dig through my fabric and come up with a pattern. I haven't quilted much, only ever did two and both were gifts. I do have a mini quilt wall hanging in my UFO's that feels like it needs to get done and up on display.

Will send it off on Monday FF when I am doing my regular errands. Glad you didn't have it! My Mom picked them up along with some other books and a ton of fabric last summer at a yard sale....Just found the box the other day while organizing and thought of you.

Suma......I so agree!! And even if you don't quilt, you have GOT to admit to the beauty of them. But if you quilt, you also realize the amount of work that goes into them!
It just makes me CRINGE when I think of putting each of those stitches BY HAND into the quilts!!!
Probably the only thing saving me from BUYING is that I am killed with house ins., car ins., (yearly renewals!), and prop, taxes in the next couple months........and gotta save some for my quilt shows!!!
I haven't even gotten through the whole site yet.......but I will!!
Oh......THANKS DC!!!! Can't wait......has been a long time since I have had even a new mag. for quilting.......and I like E. Burns techniques too!!!
Thanks for thinking of me!!! Will watch for it..........
