Funny you brought this up.......was thinking about leaving my camera at home.......
........will think about it. Friend going w/me has a cell that takes pics.........I don't.
We are 'shopping our way home'.......so didn't want it sitting in the car........or the heat, in the RARE CASE of mild weather.

Must admit that I will be very disappointed if we don't get to see some of your quilt pictures!! In any event - have a great time!!

Boy, I was on a real roll for a bit there.........but it seems to have come to a SCREECHING halt...........darn. Just won't have time to
do much for awhile now......
gotta have a "confession" though............I was back looking at the Amish quilts again..........and put a couple of them in the favorites list..........don't know how "dangerous" this will be in the future..........just can't get over how GORGEOUS some of them are...........and when I think about them being ALL HANDMADE...........just makes me WANT ONE!!!
If I EVER bought one..........I would have to pick an applique one as that is a type that I would never make.......not to that extent anyway!!
They do have a nice French Braid quilt in colors that I like.............but I intend to make one of those........so..........

The quilt show was a TOTAL, DROP DEAD, GORGEOUS, HIT!!!
Think it was one of THE BEST I have been too.......not huge, huge, but probably over 400 quilts.......or so. Gobs, and gobs, and gobs of the "really artsy" --"think outside the box" type of quilts that I love.
Got a few pics..........was having trouble with the batteries (still don't know if it is my charger, or old batteries).......AND THEN.......I dropped my camera.......it went in the bag and I still don't know if it is dead or not.
We shopped our way OUT of the quilt show..........then went on to Craft Warehouse and SHOPPED SOME MORE. A great deal there..........the lady let us 'cruise through' with just our quilt show stamp on our hand (supposed to have brought your program in too) for a $5 coupon..........AND.....we had some things that weren't on sale (but mine were only $5 a yard) so she gave us each a 40% coupon for one item...........AND..........she combined the YARDAGE on my items that weren't on sale..........so I got EVEN MORE $ off.............how about that??????
We were BOTH so tired by this time we didn't even have the energy to go NEXT DOOR to a dollar store.......we headed home.
RAIN.......RAIN........AND MORE RAIN.........to get there, and at times had my rain wipers on AS FAST AS THEY WOULD GO and still had trouble seeing..............I drove.
Had a great time..............and a long 12 hour day!!
AND THEN...............on CL., I had read about a Wash. State Quilters "garage sale" for today that only ran this morning
sooooo up and at 'em AGAIN THIS MORNING and we were there right as it opened at 8...........and got even more goodies.
Patterns for 50 cents................mags. for 25 cents.......hard back books for a buck..........material for all prices but mostly cheap....and even the most expensive was about HALF the $ of the quilt shops......LOVING IT!!!!

Here are a few pics...........will try to just post a variety of what I took---which was not a whole bunch---and keep in mind.........the pics DO NOT DO JUSTICE to the quilts!!!
(checked my program-----there were about 500 quilts there----
no WONDER my feet were killing me!!!
)
The pink petals on the first pic (artistic thread) is NOTHING BUT THREAD-using a 'build up system'.........this gal belonged to their group and I talked to her for a spell.........WHAT A TALENT!!! She does nothing but artistic wall quilts and they are ALL drop dead gorgeous!!
I have more pics of this but it just doesn't do any justice to what it really is.........she explained how she did a lot of it and MOST of it is thread!!
Course I love the butterflies.............also dimensional!

Wow, I love that butterfly one! Absolutely lovely.

That probably won't be happening.......unless the gal, with the phone that takes pics, goes with me. Then I hate to ask her to take very many.
I am not even taking my camera next time.........still haven't tried it to see if it works..........there is one partial piece that sort of "popped out" and even if it works, it would be too fragile to tote around in a backpack.

Sounds like a very dangerous place you visited, FF!.... and yet satisfying and frugal sale the next day. Awesome. Those pics are perfectly sumptuous, thanks for sharing.

Thanks DC........I will!!!
On my next one, along with the vendors at the quilt show, there are two shops (at least!!) that I stop at on my way home.........
........but so much fun!!
I have two or three more pics.......might post them later......think only one is a quilt, but took pics of two tote bags.........and one is just soooooo cute. The other I just wanted to remember the pattern.
