It was tough picking colors
I had a hard time picking FQ's for the tutorial. I must have been at Joanns for over an hour trying to picture how and what would go together well. I felt like a fish out of water. I ended up with varying shades and patterns of greens and tans. Got myself a yellow one too. Hope it all goes together OK.
Anyone else have a tough time too? Is it best to find one favorite patterned one and get complimentary colors that go with it ?~*Darlene*~

lol, I seem to always pick simliar fabric each time I buy some. So i am happy with my little crate, only had 2 choices when I was there. I STILL had to ask for advice from the family, then choose the other one. lol

Thanks for your good thoughts everyone. I must admit I am walking past them and stroking them as they lay on my DR table. The way my house is layed out the dr leads to the lr and our bedroom and the kitchen and the bath. They are being well loved.

LOL. I took about an hour to decide also. I bought mine at the local quilt store. They are very nice and helpful. They will cut any fabric in the store into a FQ for free!

Kindred, that is how I do it too. ask their opinion, bat it around a bit making them participate and get involved, then choose the opposite.Originally posted by Kindred-Spirit

They either learn to read your mind or they learn when to walk off with a roll of their eyes....maybe it is just boys that do that?
