I have seen these, but I've never tried them. I am considering making one for my friend who lost her mother in September.

I have never made one, but I too would like to make one for my mom. You just take the photos to a good photo place and get them transferred on to material laid out the way you want them to be. Because most of the photos would be in blocks, they would be an easy quilt to make.

One thing I did hear though, is that you can't wash them often because the photos tend to fade, just as they do when put on t-shirts.

They are wonderful quilts to make those for an anniversary or as in what Michelle wants to do for her friend.

btw - they also cost a lot if you were to purchase one handmade!!!

Made one x-mas of 01 for my mom. I put baby and wedding of my bro. and I put wedding, grad and current of my parents. I put the pictures as the center of a log cabin and the other blocks were whole log cabins, red and green x-mas fabric.

    She cried, it was great!
