Well... here's mine.

I just finished sewing it. Had to use my seam ripper... I sewed the bottom strip on upside down.
All fixed.
It was a little small, but I ironed more it like CJ said to and it is perfect now.Sherry

Sherry, perfect. I love those colors - they look great together.
As to the ironing, often when we press our seams in the back, we just don't press quite enough and thats what makes the block a wee bit out. When you re-press it both back and front when its finished, it will usually make it right on or close to right on.
Woo hoo the blocks are looking good.

Ok, here's mine. A little dull compared to the other girls, but I'm sure it will go well with all the other blocks CJ is having us make!

Those look wonderful!
I am finally sewing mine but having some dificulties.
I have finally gotten a 1/4 in seam figured out on my (non-marked) machine. Now when I sew the 2-2 1/2 in squares ans press them they are short. They don't measure 4 1/2 in. They stop at the mark just before the 1/2in. (can't for the life of me remember right now what that is called) Ugh! Does that mean my squares are to small? I measured them before and they were right. I double checked my 1/4 in seam to make SURE it was 1/4 in. What else can I do? Help CJ or somebody, anybody!

Sewcrafty - awesome. Looking great everyone.
Frugalmel - Here is another tip. For your 1/4 inch seam allowance. If you can't find the exact one, take the part your going to sew, place it on a piece of sandpaper and measure your 1/4 in from the edge. Mark it lightly with your pencil - draw a line so that your sewing exactly on your 1/4 inch. (The sandpaper will keep the pieces from moving!!) It takes a wee bit more time, but you'll have an accurate 1/4 inch. Don't use a dull pencil, but one thats sharpened so that you get the exact line, kwim.
For the other part, I would think when you press and measure your block, you'll find its almost 4 1/2 inch or exactly 4 1/2 inches.. If its just before the line, you should be okay.
Sew one together and press, back first, then front lightly and then measure. Come here and tell me exactly how much it measures then. I'll check this post around supper time and see.

If anyone wants anything scanned for posting and doesn't have access to a scanner or digital camera you can send a picture to me snail mail and I can scan it for you. Just send me an extra stamp so I can send the picture back to you if you want it back. I don't mind... I want to see how everyone is doing!
