CJ is my inspiration!!
I have always loved to sew, and I have actually made 1 quilt. I now know why it is crooked! But, by it not being perfect discouraged me until CJ decided to do this tutorial. I now have the quilting fever!!! Thanks CJ!!
Here are a couple more blocks I have done. I want to make a small quilt for my Mom in appreciation for letting us use their home while we don't have water.
This one is called Party Hats.~~ Dee ~~

The final one is called 'Star In A Star'.
I love this one but it is more difficult than the other two. I found all of them online at:

Sewcrafty, thanks!! You've done an awesome job and I'm so proud of you. Excellant work.
Tammy, you can do it. Start with the tutorial I'm doing and before you know it, you'll be quilting in no time. Its not hard and starting out in baby steps will be real easy. If you decide to start, I'll help you any way I can. cj

You should be proud of yourself, they are lovely! I am sure your mother will appreciate the quilt you give her, all that hard work! Keep on going and keep on posting pictures for us to cheer you on!

Thanks Ladies!

Today was a busy day for me, spent most of it at my Mom's doing some more cooking and laundry. I missed sewing today!!! Next time I go, I'm taking my cut out squares and sewing there! Years ago I bought my Mom a sewing machine and all the quilting supplies she would need and she never used them.
So I will put them to good use.
Today while I was there, I was looking around her living room. She and dad just bought new matching recliners in a deep emerald green and the carpet is a medium jade. The fabrics I have here on hand have those colors in them.
What do you ladies think of me making matching covers for the backs of the chairs and for the arms? They would probably end up being the size of small wall hangings. I was thinking 4 blocks square for the backs and 2 blocks for each chair arm??
My mom's hand sweat terribly and the chair fabric is like a crushed velvet (synthetic I'm sure), but covers would protect them?
What do you think???~~ Dee ~~

Thanks CJ, I figured only 1 (my Mom) would use the quilt but this way it would be more for both of them.
