Smile My Trip Around the World quilt

This is my Trip Around the World quilt. I have not completed the quilting and I still have to do my binding. I am machine quilting and unfortunately I did not find out until I was about 1/4 of the way finished that I did NOT know how to machine quilt. I read the book but...I still did not do it right. I had wrinkles in my quilt and I am having to rip out stitching to get them out. But you can still get the idea of how it looks. I still have extra batting hanging out around the edge and the backing is still hanging out extra too but you can see the edges of the top. This is the first time I have ever attempted this type of edge, I am sure I will be calling on your expertise CJ.

    Blessings,
    Kathy
