Smile My little quilter!! My DD is so funny!!

I have been trying to catch up with my quilting blocks so Delaney (my daughter who is five) is very interested in what I am doing. She loves hand sewing patches together to make her own little patchwork "quilts" for her dolls! Anyhow, I was talking to my Mom on the phone the other day and Delaney wanted to talk as well. My Mom asked her what she was doing and Delaney replied, "Oh Grandma, I'm just finishing up on my quilt!!" It was so cute, I had to contain my laughter until after. She was just so serious and proud of herself.

Delaney loves all kinds of crafts so I shouldn't be surprised that she likes sewing too but only being five it surprises me that she will actually get me to thread a needle and sew!! Delaney was hunting for every teddy and dolly that needed "fixing", even the tiniest of holes were sewed up!!
