Smile picture of the beginning of my tumbling block quilt

This is a picture of the beginning of my tumbling block baby quilt. I am doing it all by hand and am doing it by English Paper Piecing. It is a "work in progress", I work on it when I have a minute when we are camping or watching television. I also have a Grandmother's flower gardent that I am making by hand that I work on at my leisure.

Nice work. I just did a tumbling block also, but won't ever do another one. I find the pattern not the easiest one to do.

You are sure right CJ. I have had all kinds of grief trying to get the corners to match up. I actually have put it up for a while because I got so frustrated. It was suppose to be for my Grandbaby that was born Oct. 21 and I started it when she was still months away from being born. It will definately be my one and only tumbling blocks too.

It certainly looks difficult, but pretty. I bet you will have an amazing sense of accomplishment when you are done with it.

Very nice, it looks like it would be complicated to get right.

How Pretty! I can see why you pick it up and put it down often. It does look very complicated and I can see how you would get frustrated when those corners don't line up. Gonna be gorgeous when it's done.

On simply quilts the other day they strip pieced a tumbling block quilt! You need a 60 degree triagle ruler but other than that it looked fairly easy. I am gonna try one that way one of these days. It should be on the HGTV website but I haven't looked yet.
