Here is my first attempt at a quilt. LOL it really doesn't look like a quilt but I think it will serve the purpose.
I still need to try and quilt around the flowers. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I have the quilting needles and clear thread. But not sure how to do the actual quilting. PLEASE help.

This will go into the room for Mother.

You can either hand stitch around the flowers or use your sewing machine. If you use your sewing machine, you'll need to have a quilting foot, otherwise you'll get "puckers" at the back.

The first thing you have to do is pin it - the back, filling and top. You need to pin about every 5 inches or so. Even if you hand stitch, you'll need to do the same. If your hand quilting it, you'll also need a hoop, 14 inch being the best.

With a quilt like that, I would hand quilt around the flowers.
