CJ Can you tell me how
to repair an old (very old ) Quilt? It belonged to my Father's Granmother and is in VERY bad shape! The back is still good and you can still read (faintly) that it was done in a flour sack.
Anyway I want to replace some of the patches that have either fallen off or are badly tattered. Since I'm not good at it yet I thought maybe you could give me some pointers?
Thanks

Your probably not going to want to hear what I have to say, but if its very very old, I wouldn't touch it especially seeing as you haven't done any types of repairs on a quilt. I would phone a quilting store and find someone who has done that type of work.
It may even have some value so your best bet is to find someone who is an expert at doing such work.
