Question Have you ever thought of going a bit deeper in your quilting endeavours?

I've been thinking of this and have done a bit already, but after reading The Runaway Quilt it really got me thinking on it more.

I want to do a study on quilting, how it all got started (some of it I already have), to how it progressed. I'd also like to do a study to see if my family has any quilts from our ancestors.

Another area I really would like to go deeper in, is teaching it. Although I've done the tutorials here, and was asked to give a quilting course (which didn't turn out because of time constraints) I would really love to teach it.

Have you ever thought of going deeper with your quilting or are you quite happy where you are?

I really love to learn about the quilters themselves. I love reading stories about how the pioneer women quilted and the quilting bees. There are such lovely stories about them and there is so much to learn from them. I love hearing stories of the depression era quilters and how they were able to make beautiful quilts from whatever they had on hand.

I would love to take a quilting class but unfortunatley my work schedule does not make it possible. I work 12 hour shifts and what ever days I work one week, those are the days that I am off the next week so I can never go to a class. I do appreciate your tutorials so much though.
