My log cabin quilt
Here is a log cabin quilt I finished a couple of months ago. I need to quilt it, but that will be done this winter.
I found this layout in a very old magazine that had been sent to me. If you notice, the centre blocks are red for the centre and the outside blocks have yellow in them.
You can't notice on this picture, but the light layout actually is in the form of a star. You can see it better when you see the quilt close.

CJ,
Your log cabin quilt is gorgeous! I'm working on one...put in a lot of time on it before the baby was born, but haven't worked on it since. I know once the time comes I'll probably have to post different arrangements on this site for everyone's feedback. I do love how you arranged your blocks on this one though!

One thing I forgot to put down here, this quilt is all done with scraps and with fat quarters. There isn't one block that is the same color combination.

CJ, I've always been moved by the whole quilt making process.
Someone had some material and wanted to do something so very basic & keep them warm. They took whatever cloth materials were on hand and pieced together a quilt. Here we are today, many quilting bees later & I still think the whole process is so neat!
You (CJ) keep on doing what you do~ sharing your love of but one of the cafts you know. Many lives will be the richer for it.
