Log Cabin tutorial finished - please post pictures in this thread
The Log cabin tutorial is now finished. If you have any questions, please post them in this thread.
Once your block is finished, please also post in this thread, so that we can add them to the tutorial. All these tutorials will be moved into to the tutorial section of the village at a later date and it will be nice to have pictures of blocks finished.
Also, please do not ask me to change the metres or cm into yardage or inches. I'm not good at math and in Canada we use metres and cm.
I'll be starting on the "Card trick" tutorial either tonight or tomorrow.
Remember - this was a fun block and not for our sampler quilt. It is not the same size of our sampler blocks.

I wanted to add here about the size of strips I used, 1 1/2 inch strips. Most log cabin quilts use that size of strips, BUT if you ever want to make them larger strips you can. I've seen some wonderful Log Cabin quilts made with wider strips. Its not my preference though, so I've used the more common size strips.
I've also seen miniature Log Cabin quilts where the strips are even smaller yet. I'm not into miniature quilts YET though, so thats why I used the 1 1/2 inch strips.
