Talking I blew the frugal challenge, but oh it felt so GOOD

We went to the library this afternoon to a small town near us and of course I just happened to go to the quilting store.

Well she had LOTS of her material on for $5.00 a metre, unheard of here anywhere I've been to a quilting store. So I purchased 5 metres of different colors.

BUT then I spotted her new material. So I purchased another 6 metres (course it wasn't at $5 a metre), but it just kept saying, "pick me, pick me", so I did. Good thing I didn't spot the fat quarters!!!

Okay I blew the frugal challenge for today, but theres always tomorrow to start again, right!!!

Sometimes it's just nice to treat yourself to something you really enjoy even if it's not frugal. Like you said, there is always tomorrow to hop back on the frugal wagon.

I feel that is part of the reason to be frugal, so that when you see something (withing reason) that you really want and will use you can buy it.

Well actually I went back and got some more and plan on going back again and getting some more. At $5 a metre, I can't go wrong. You just never see that here.

Besides, she has got some awesome new material in that keeps calling my name, kwim.
