    Question Quilting Tutorial questions............

CJ, I am very behind on the quilting tutorial and want to work on it today. I think I have only completed 3 blocks!
Am I right and we are doing 10 blocks all measuring 12 1/2" square? And you did 2 extra blocks, the Jar Block and Log Cabin that will not go in our completed quilts, correct?

Here are the tutorials I found so far:

Diana, yes that is right. If you want to make a larger quilt, you can do 2 blocks of each which will make a queen size quilt.

I have bookmarked this thread! Thanks for asking Diana! Now that I have a sewing machine I plan to practice! Since I have a queen bed the 2 blocks each will be handy!
OOOOOO I can hardly wait to begin! I a, learning to use my rotary cutter, but it seems like I need 3 hands!
Maybe my dependable ds will help hold the material so i can cut it straight.....

Sis, you shouldn't need 3 hands. If you have an acrylic ruler and your cutter, placing your hands as in the tutorial on starting to quilt, you'll seldom have the material move.

If you have a soft bendable ruler, you material will move or wrinkle up.

YOu also need to have a VERY sharp blade in your rotary cutter. Don't use it when its dull, otherwise you'll send up with the material moving, or tearing.
