All hail the cheif...
Man when I mess up do I ever mess up! LOL, I feel like the chief of DUH today. I was working on my block for the contest...by hand. I was frustrated and my fingertips were sore from poking with the needle. I had to take it all apart as I had sewn some pieces on back wards and so on and on. I about threw it all away. I decide to look one more time at my sewing machine. (It WAS scheduled to go to the maintenance dept on wednesday) So anyhow I check out why my machine is not working. I have looked and looked and looked at this thing for a few days already and couldn't figure it out. WEll, I look at it today and realize...the spool of thread up top is nearly gone. ANd being nearly gone, the last end of the thread was loose. It had wrapped around the thread going to the machines tension levers and so on. Which is what effectively messed up the works. it wound tight around the thread so it wasn't noticeable right away...until today when i really looked close. So i got a new spool on it and rewound a bobbin and pput that in. It works like a champ now. Boy do I feel

Wahoo! That's great news. Now you can sew again.
No money for repairs too.

Woo hoo I'm so happy for you. I know how much you wanted to get that block done and you can now finish it and you didn't have to spend any $$ on fixing it.

I am so excited to not have to pay to have it repaired...maybe that money can go to some fq's??
And although I started my block for the contest by hand, I had to take it apart...i made lots of mistakes...I think I will do it by machine.
And I have finished my card trick now that the machine is workin!!
I'll take a pic and post it this evening.
