Question About Antique Quilts....
While going through MIL's cedar chest, I found two baby quilts that I'm supposing were dh's and his brothers. They are Sunbonnet Sue. One is really ragged and appears that it was in the process of being taken apart and repaired. The other just looks really old. Dh is 47 now. Is this an antique? Should I try to repair the bad one?
There was also a queen size quilt done in Irish Chain, I think, that is in perfect condition. I have no clue how old it is but it is hand sewn. MIL was 64 when she passed away 4 years ago. Could this be an antique? How can you tell?"Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

Thanks for the advice Kathy. I was thinking of washing the queen sized one and using it. It smells like cedar and makes everyone sneeze, lol.
I will have one of the ladies at a local quilt shop to look at it first before I do anything to it now.
