Scrap quilting is using scraps to make any pattern your want. There is a great book out titled Quick & Easy Scrap Quilts by Patricia Wilens, one of the best books on scrap quilting. I have used it over and over again and its been a great investment in quilting books.

You then need to decide what pattern you want to do. Check these threads out and they might help you in deciding:

These tutorials are now in the tutorial section - PLEASE CHECK OUT (the easier blocks I've done)

Or you can check out this site: http://www.scrapquilts.com

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I absolutely love scrappy quilts.

That is also my favorite scrap quilt book. I love all the patterns in it and the instructions are easy to follow and I love the Pin Points instructions that it gives. I think this is a great investment for a beginning quilter.

Scrappy quilts are the best...they remind me of "old fashioned" quilting where you just used what you had on hand and didn't go buy new fabric just to make a quilt.
