Question CJ--question about the tutorial quilt

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the thread.

Which blocks from the tutorial will be in the quilt we're putting together?

Michelle, you won't be putting the Jar block nor the Log Cabin block in your quilt.

If you are making a queen size quilt, you will have to do 2 blocks of each tutorial, excluding the 2 I just mentioned.

If you are making a small quilt, then you'll only use 9 blocks, rather than the 10 that we've done. You can pick which one you don't want to put in the quilt.

Thanks Heather and CJ I am still trying to decide if I want to make this for my brother as a wedding gift, so that's why I was asking about the size.

Ok, for a queen size quilt I would do 2 each of the following?

Churn Dash
Bachelor's puzzle
Ohio Star
Jacob's Ladder
Card Trick
Wishing Star
Patience Corner
Air Castle
Pieced Star point
Now, if I only made one of each block, would that just be wallhanging size? Lap quilt size?

Michelle, actually you would have to do 10 blocks, 2 of each for a queen size quilt. You'd do 4 blocks on each row.

If you do 9, you looking at a nice size quilt, but I can't give you the measurements for about 3 days. I'm almost finished the sashing and then I'll give you the exact measurement. Is that okay?

I was just saying 9 from your last reply to me (another thread) when you said that I would only be taking out the Jar Block and the log cabin block--the 9 remaining were the ones I listed above. I'll figure something out.

Michelle, there are actually 10 tutorial blocks after you take the Log Cabin and the Jar Block out.

    Your missing the 9-patch.

I did 10 tutorial blocks so that if you wanted to make a queen size quilt, you could use 2 of each.

For a queen size quilt you need to have 20 blocks, 4 blocks and 5 blocks long. HTH

Michelle, the size of the quilt, doing 9 blocks will measure approx. 55 x 55. It will be a tad bit more, I haven't put the binding on it yet, but thats close.
