Exclamation Quilting blocks for CONTEST starting to arrive

Woo hoo I got Melissa's block today, along with Denise's (sunshine) and they are both looking great. I already know where I'm going to put Denise's in the quilt, so now I'm anxious to get the rest of the blocks.

Thanks Melissa also for the 5 inch squares and to both of you, thank you for taking part in this contest!! Your names have been entered for the prize.

Wow- I'm surprised it took it so long to reach you, but glad it made it there.

I can't wait to see the finished quilt pictures.

I can't believe it took less than a week to get to you--that's great!

How many blocks are you expecting for the quilt CJ, and what size will the finished quilt be?

Michelle, I'm not sure how many blocks are coming. There are some in the mail right now from Dee, but who else I'm not sure. I need to contact a couple of people and see if they are still in.

As to the size, it depends on the blocks I get. As soon as all the blocks are here, I'll let you know.

I can hardly wait to put it together and see who the winner picks for a charity.

CJ, I wanted to do this, but I am having trouble getting the new machine and my blocks working together LOL. I am slowly working on one. I also have some 5in squares for you, I am waiting to mail everything together. My dkids have been particularly busy each time I have wanted to work on them and have had to stop every min or so to clean messes, referee, etc. One of these days!!!

Melissa, I got 4 so far.

I'm waiting for Dee's (in the mail), Heather's (Calico) and Melody's. If I remember right Heather said she was putting hers in the mail on Tues. I need to check with her.

What size will the finished quilt be, CJ? Are you planning to make a lap size, twin, etc?

Michelle, it will probably end up being the same size as the tutorial one, 56 x 56 approx. I think I'll end up with 9 blocks, and if I don't, then I'll add a block to make it the 9 blocks.

    That's a decent size!

Has everyone picked out their charities yet in case they win? I thought I had mine picked out, but now I'm not sure after reading something about them on a quilting message board the other night.

I mailed mine today. I am to late for the contest and that's ok. I sent the only one I have finished since starting back after the summer. I am not overly pleased with it, but time to work on quilting is very slim! I also sent your 5in squares. Enjoy
