Have you ever belonged to a quilt guild?
I found one a couple towns over that I might want to join, but I've never belonged to one, and I'm wondering what they're like.
I worry that I'll join a bunch of expert quilters and be very intimidated. I'm sure this depends on the guild, but what have your experiences with guilds been?

I've never joined one only because I just have never had time. I've heard some wonderful stories and I've heard some horror stories.
Michelle, I think it depends on the guild. Some do charity work and are more than willing to have new quilters come in and share their knowledge with them. Some just get together for a fun time, have door prizes and just an overall good time.
Others are very clicky, where they don't like new people coming in and they figure they are the only quilters on this earth. There is one like that in the closest city to us.
Try it, you might find a wonderful group of ladies, who will welcome you with open arms and share all the knowledge they have. The few guilds that I know are like that, they are wonderful older ladies who want younger ones to join and who just make you feel so welcome. There is one like that in the nearest town to us. They welcome everyone!!!
