    Exclamation Quilting tip #2

Always have a sharp blade in your rotary cutter.     This is so important, because if your blade is dull, it will tear the material or pull it, thus making the piece your cutting "stretched" a bit and your project won't come out right if your material is stretched.     It also doesn't make it neat if your material is torn because you have a dull blade.

You can now purchase the blades in multiple pkgs.    The cheapest route to go is to purchase a doz. at a time and go generic if you can find them to fit your cutter.

I have a Fiskars rotary cutter (45mm) and was able to get a sharpener for it. It does work and takes the burrs and nicks off the blades too.

    Great tip CJ!

Wonderful tip and it is SO much easier!! I had a hard time getting one for mine, not that it is a different one just everyone was out yet I still used it and boy what a difference when I finally got the blade.
