Thumbs up I'm having so much fun doing this charity quilt

I was pinning it together today, thinking of each of you who made the blocks and how far you've each come in your quilting and how generous you are in making the blocks for the quilt.

Then I was quilting the blocks and praying for the recipient of the quilt.

As I continued to quilt, I was thinking of how a group of ladies came together to make a charity quilt and was wishing you were all here to help put it together. Wouldn't that be fun to have a good old fashioned quilting bee, knowing where the quilt was going and binding us all together with a quilt MADE IN LOVE.

I just want to say thank you for the wonderful priviledge of being able to put this quilt together and for your wonderful generosity. Your all the best!!!

Just so you know, I'm almost finished the quilting. I should have it finished by Friday. One more day of quilting (I may even get that done tonight) and then I only have the binding to put on it.

Its quilted. Now I need to program my computer to put in the recipient's name (chosen by Diana), and then do the binding, which I should get done tomorrow night!!!

Actually, Melissa, I'm doing it the centre of your log cabin block. Dee has asked that the name remain annyomous for now, so I I'm honoring her request.

I'm going to program the name into my sewing machine and then it will sew the name right on the block. How cool is that?

Melissa, I was wondering why you asked me that question, then I went back and read it. I meant to say I need to program the name into my sewing machine, not into my computer.

You ladies are so talented. Maybe one of these day's I will take crocheting back up or learn how to quilt.

CJ you are a remarkable persone for putting all your love and hard work into this project as are all the ladies that sent you blocks.

Are you going to post a picture of the finishesd project?

I can't wait to see what it looks like. I've heard so much about it I can almost picture it myself. ASide from the quilts my great grandmother made, in my mind I see this as the prettiest quilt ever. All of you should be proud of yourselves and deserve a pat on the back. And Dee, the charity you chose should feel truly honored as well.

Kathryn, yes I'm going to post a picture when I'm finished with it, just as soon as I get back from my trip.

Melissa, I have a Husqvarna, Lily 555. I love it - its does all kinds of neat things. But I want a more advanced one, I'm still talking to dh about it.

I just couldn't figure out how to get the name on the block though, its so frustrating. I can do it on a regular piece of material, but when it comes to the quilt, it wants to bunch up. I'm going to try it again tomorrow.

I did put a patch on the back saying STITCHED WITH LOVE and I'll pick up a quilting pen and mark on it the date, and also add on there, from the village quilters.

I love how its coming together!! And just wait until you see the blocks - its amazing how I was able to put them in the exact spot so that it all fit together!!!

Oh CJ, I think the log cabin block of Melissa's is perfect for the center! Just like it is the center of the village.

Dee, Melissa's block isn't in the centre. What I'm trying to do is put the name in the centre of her block, but because its quilted, the machine doesn't want to put the name in there right!!! I'm going to try again tomorrow though cause I just want the name in that block!!!
