Thumbs up She designed her own quilt

My dd was measuring her bed, counting inches and even went outside to get her dad to show her what a 3 inch square was from his workshop. She was asking me math questions (I'm not good at math at all), had my tape measure and writing, subtracting, multiplying and dividing all together. Little did she know she was doing homeschooling.

She got graph paper and has designed her own quilt. Now she has special needs, is only 13 and SHE HAS DESIGNED HER OWN QUILT. I haven't even done that. And its something else. She knows exactly what she wants and she figured it right down to a "t". I'm excited, this is going to be fun to see how it turns out. I might have to help her a bit in the cutting, but other than that, she is making it herself.

The one thing though and I can see she is a true quilter. She needs whites and yellows and said "does that mean we can buy some more material mom". First Chelle and now my dd, trying to get me into a quilting store. I did say YES, but I promise I'll hold off purchasing any for me. HONEST!!!

LOL She is just like you CJ! She sniffs fat quarters in the wind, and is OFF on the hunt! She senses it in her blood, driving her to the fat quarter shop!

I am thrilled. Watching dd's quilt is funny, endearing and touching.

Wow!!! That is wonderful! I can't wait to see the finsihed quilt. She's got more talent and gumption than I do to not only make but design her own quilt! She is her mother's daughter alright!
