Have you read this quilting book?
Quilter's Complete Guide by Marianne Fons and Liz Porter
My apologies if this has been posted before. I'm wondering if this book would be a good beginner's book for me.
Looking for any suggestions for very beginner's books on quilting.

The pic of the quilt I just posted last week- that came from Learning to Quilt by Lori Yetmar Smith. You can get it at Wal Mart for about $8.00. You learn a little bit of everything- from just doing a straight stitch, to sewing into corners, sewing a curve, a little bit of applique. Just be warned- the quilt on the cover is kinda ugly, so don't let it scare you
LOL

I would recommend The Quilter's Complete Guide and Rotary Magic. I have both of them and I think Rotary Magic teaches the binding and quilting really well with lots of pictures and The Complete Quilter's Guide teaches ALOT of different blocks and techniques.
