I've never purchased large pieces of fabric but I have purchased precut pieces for quilting from ebay. It's been quite a while back but they turned out okay. Now that I've learned to cut them myself, I don't expect to do it again.

Yes, many times. Sometimes through co-ops, sometimes from other women on a different board I visit, and sometimes from Ebay. Also:

www.fabric.com (free shipping on your first order) And if you order from here, I'd appreciate it if you would use my email address as a referral )
    www.keepsakequilting.com
    www.connectingthreads.com
    www.joann.com

I know there are more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Yes from LornaJoy, who of course is our chat guest on Sunday.

I've been really pleased with the fat quarter club so far and yesterday I ordered 35 fat quarters from her. She is also a real sweetie.

    I haven't ordered from anywhere else because I don't have a cc. Its probably a GOOD thing I don't, wouldn't you say.
