    Exclamation Quilting tip #13

Pressing - pressing is so vitally important when it comes to quilting, just as it is in sewing. You want the back of your block to look as neat as the front of the block. Also pressing can often make your block the exact size its suppose to be or very close to it.

Always press towards your dark color unless the instructions to your pattern say otherwise.

You also want to make sure when your making blocks, that your seams are pressed opposite of each other when your joining pieces together, so that your seams slide together, making the perfect seam.

Count your iron as important as your sewing machine and your quilting will go much easier.
