Michelle (chelle) did you get your fq yet?

Did you get your fq in the mail from the fq club. I was just wondering what you thought?

Yes, I got them on Saturday.

I *really* liked the quilt "tags", but I wasn't too fond of the other ones--but that's ok because I am trying to branch out in my color choices and patterns.

What did you think?

Pretty much the same as you did. I loved the quilt tags as well.

I used a quilt tag on the charity quilt in the back corner and wrote on it "made in love by your village aunties". Those tags can be used for so many things.

The rest of the fq are a real stretch for me as well. Not sure where I'll use the gold or the dark blue. The gold reminds me of patterns I find in dh's wood.

Like you though, I don't mind either because I'm branching out as well from greens, burgundies and pinks. If I wasn't getting these fq, I sure wouldn't have bought them, kwim.

Oh definitely...I wouldn't have bought them either. But you never know when something may pop up where you need a color like that.

Yup thats true - possibly for an ugly fq.

I'm always amazed at the fq we get though. When I look at them, especially the particular ones I would never choose, I try to picture it in a quilt. Most times I can't. although I must say, this is the first time I've found I didn't like 2 out of the 4.

Chelle, I've had your ugly fq here for quite some time. Its the ugliest piece of material I've ever seen, even worse that the "monkey" ugly fq a few years ago. I can't wait until I can send it to you and see if you agree.

No, some other unsuspecting member will probably get one of the newer "ugly" fq.
