Question Do you wash your fabric before you bring it to your sewing area?

I put mine down near the washer/dryer before I bring it to my sewing area. I usually have it washed within 3-4 days of purchase.

How about you? Do you wash first or do you wait until you need it for a project?

As soon as it comes in the house, I wash it. It has become such a habit for me.

I think it's easier that way, cj. Then when you go to reach for the perfect fabric for something you're working on, you don't have to stop to wash it

I totally agree. And if you do it each time you purchase material or get any in the mail, it just becomes a habit.

I wash mine as soon as it comes in the house. Then I put it in my storage.

If I buy it I do. I have a few (well, a lot) of pieces that were given to me unwashed that were put away that way.
