My newly finished Quilt top.
Remember the RAOK quilt blocks that I got a few weeks ago? Well, here is the finished top. It has been great therapy for me to work on this.
Just need to figure out how to finish it now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I've only finished one other quilt. I'm thinking of quilting it with stitch in the ditch. The size is 40 1/2" by 50 1/2 in. Thinking of doing a 2" border? Is this called a crazy quilt?

Carolyn, very nice. Its not whats called a crazy quilt, but as a quilter you can call it anything you want to.
I would quilt it by using the "stitch in the ditch" too. For the border, I would pull out a color that you really like and is repeated in the quilt a number of times. I'd pick a lighter colored one. I'd do a 3 inch border and then for the binding, again pull out a dark color you really are drawn too and use that. (Just my thoughts here though.)
I love how colorful it is. My type of quilt.

Thanks for the compliments girls.
CJ, would you use solid color borders or small print?"Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

Carolyn, I'd use a solid color border and binding. You don't want the binding to take away from the prints in the quilt - you want it to be a continuation of the quilt.

Wow! It looks great from here! I'm thinking a pale yellow and a dark blue would look nice.

Carolyn, Karen has a great color suggestion. I'd go with a pale yellow as well and a dark blue or navy for the binding.
Great color Karen.

I was thinking of pale yellow too, lol. We are all thinking alike on this. I am doing the backing in a dark blue also so the yellow and blue will blend in great!
Thanks for all the ideas. May need some more help with it once I get going on it again but for now, it sure looks pretty hanging on my bedroom wall.

It's beautiful! I was taught by an art teacher to squinch my eyes at the finished product in order to pick your dominate color. Which I'm seeing as a dusty rose. Whatever you choose will be be perfect!
