my first quilt!
I drew a simple plan - I think it was called a snow crystal - And I measured it all out for the fabric. Then I made a paper one using graph paper. This weekend I will go get the fabric in what I consider Victorian colors. This will be for our master bed. I am so excited!! I am using math skills that I haven't used since college and if it even comes close to my design it will be EXACTLY what I wanted for our Victorian cowboy home!! I will let you know how it goes and I may be asking for help along the way!!

Good luck on your first quilt. I have to give you a warning concerning the construction of quilts. They are like the commercial for potato chips. They are very addicting. Once you construct your first one you just have to do more and if your're not careful you will be overwhelmed with projects. I have projects started from three years ago that have not been completed. I am steadily making progress toward getting my UFOs finished and only have about five in the works now.
