    Default I'm hooked!

I had my first quilting class on Tuesday and I absolutely LOVE it!! I can't wait to go back this week! I'm going to go look for a sewing machine this weekend--any suggestions what to buy?

I saw so many beautiful fabrics when I went to the shop, I can't wait to build a "stash"!!

That's so awesome! I can't give any suggestions on machines. I think it's an individual type thing.

    I'm glad your hooked.

For machines, get as much machine as you can for the $$ you have. I would highly recommend a Pfaff or a Husqvarna, two of the best if you plan on doing any quilting. Pfaff has a built in quilting foot. They are expensive but well worth it. They are a lifetime investment and you can't go wrong with either one.

    Enjoy your new passion.

    Glad you had a blast!

I bought a Kenmore at the beginning of the year and bought a walking foot for it. All together, it was about $200. and it workes fine for me.

woohooo! Another one hooked . Glad you are enjoying it. Our local quilt shop is a Bernina dealer, but they won't shoot you if you have another brand . I have started out with just your basic sewing machine (singer) and have the quilting adapters for it. If I had it to do over again, I would get one that is more geared for quilting. Just my $.02
