Question What color thread to quilt this?

I am getting ready to machine quilt this table runner as a gift for my Mom. What color thread would you use? I'll be stitching in the ditch for the most part, and then outline stitching in the center square. The backing is the same green fabric in the top of the runner:

    Very pretty Michelle.

When I was at the quilting show a couple weekends ago, there were 125 quilts and ALL of them were either quilted with white or beige thread. (I always look at the quilting thats done because it fascinates me how some can get such small stitches and others don't hand quilt, they use a long arm or get it done professionally.) Thats all I ever use in any quilt I quilt is white or beige. I would do the exact same thing with the table runner.

I am going with cream...mostly because that's the best kind of thread I have right now. Will report back later.
