Question hand basting or tacking gun

okay, since you've been so good and kind to a newbee I have another question. Has anyone used a tacking gun instead of hand basting all 3 pieces together.

I've never used a tacking gun. I have not heard good things about them. I don't baste my quilts. I pin them. Basting takes too long IMO.

I place the backing on a large table. Put the batting over top the backing and then the top. From there I begin to pin, working from the center of the quilt out.

I vote for pins also! faster and I think they hold better (at least the way I baste) and you can use them over and over unlike the things that shoot from the gun.
