Question What goals/challenges have you set for your when it comes to quilting in 2005

This is the time of year when I begin to look at goals and challenges for myself.

My goals/challenges for 2005 in quilting are:

~to stretch myself when it comes to color. I need to break out of the burgundies, pinks, dark greens and use colors like oranges, reds, browns.

~to quilt all the quilt tops I have in my drawer.

~to make at least 20 charity quilts. Ten single quilts for battered woman shelters and ten baby quilts for charity.

~to design a quilt of my own

    What about you?

To QUILT, QUILT, QUILT! I love making quilts.

I don't have any UFO'S now so my first goal is to plan what kind of quilts I want to make.

I recently sorted all my fabric and matched up the larger pieces so that I have 3 fabrics that go together. I believe I ended up with enough large pieces to make 5 complete large quilts.

I would like to make some baby quilts just for the practice and they would make nice gifts for my great nieces and nephews.

I definitely want to make a Sunbonnet Sue Quilt.

    I need more quilting books.

I would like a subscription to Quilter's World magazine.

My main goal is to keep quilting and not lose focus.

    Ready to hear mine?

    NONE!

I've decided that I put too much pressure on myself when making quilts/wallhangings. I'm always doing them for other people, so I'm always rushed, and I don't enjoy it as much as I should. So this year, I'm not planning any quilt gifts....nothing. I want to make something for ME, and I'm going to take my time doing it

Clever lady!!! When the fun goes out of quilting it just isn't worth it. Can't wait to see the project your making for yourself.

I'm with Chelle on this one, about time I made a quilt for myself! I don't have any that I have made except for my very first try years ago. Now that I know what I am doing (most of the time ) I would like to make myself one!
