What is a fat quarter?

What do you do with them?

When you buy fabric off the bolt, and you get a 1/4 of a yard it will be long and skinny.

If you buy a fat quater it is fat because it is a 1/2 yard off the bolt, cut in half down the middle to make a 1/4 yard. ( make sence?)

So they are easier to handle and you have more cutting options, for quilting. And there are some quilt tops that the directions say 2 fat quarters light, 1 dark(Or whatever the "recipie" is)
