Quilting Batting Question
Well, at least I THINK that is the correct term!
My mother has several quilts at her house. They are all old and beautiful and SOOOO warm and comfy! However, the quilts that I have are lightweight and don't keep anyone or anything warm.
I am about to embark on the wonderful world of sewing, quilting in particular, and I am curious...is there a certain material I should buy for batting (?) to make my quilts warm and usable?
Thanks for any advice you might have!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

I dunno the answer to this one. Probably Dee or CJ will know!
I remember my step-mom mentioning "summer quilts" or "summer weight quilts/blankets". I think those used to be lined with just sheets or something lightweight compared to the winter quilts that really keep you warm. Not sure about all that though.

Warm & Natural or a higher loft batting:

Warm and natural is the best, although it is more expensive than polyester batting. I use Soft Landing Thermobonded quilt batting because it costs a lot less.
But warm and natural would be my first choice.

Amy because you can get warm and natural at Joanns when it is on sale for 40 - 50% off. Its regular price is 9.99 yd. It 90 inches wide. I personally think it is easier to quilt with.
